Cybex Isokinetic Test and Exercise System

The Cybex isokinetic system is a computer-controlled device used in rehabilitation to measure and improve muscle strength with precision. "Isokinetic" means the movement happens at a constant, controlled speed, while the machine matches the resistance to the force the patient applies.

How It Works

The patient performs movements — such as extending and bending the knee — against the machine at a set speed. Because the resistance adapts to the effort throughout the whole range of motion, the muscle is challenged safely and consistently, and the system records detailed data on strength, endurance and any imbalance between limbs.

Objective measurement lets clinicians pinpoint weakness, track progress precisely and set targeted goals.
